One killed, 31 injured in Russian attack on Ukraine, says Ukrainian governor

Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov said eight guided bombs struck the southern Ukrainian city within 90 minutes, damaging residential and commercial buildings.

One person was killed and 31 injured in Russian attacks on the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia on Sunday,regional governor Ivan Fedorov said.

Reuters footage showed first responders providing first aid to injured people after an attack near a residential apartment building. The footage also showed first responders pulling a woman from beneath the rubble of a house.

Eight guided bombs were dropped on the city within an hour and a half, destroying residential and non-residential buildings, the governor said, adding that a 71-year-old woman was killed.

Ukraine's city of Zaporizhzhia has been under heavy bombardment in recent months.
